Data Center Fire: Alibaba Cloud Singapore Node Paralyzed

On September 10, it was reported that a fire broke out in Alibaba Cloud's data center in Singapore, causing network anomalies in the region's cloud computing services.
The incident not only affected Alibaba Cloud's own services, but also affected e-commerce platforms that rely on its infrastructure, such as Lazada and TikTok Shop.
It is said that the fire occurred inside Alibaba Cloud's Singapore data center. Although the fire has been controlled, due to the need for fire safety, the operation and maintenance personnel are temporarily unable to enter the building for maintenance work, causing the temperature inside the data center to continue to rise, affecting the normal operation of network equipment.
Alibaba Cloud's official statement pointed out that some cloud products are currently facing network connection problems, and there is a risk of complete network paralysis in Singapore Availability Zone C.
According to a report by a foreign media reporter on LinkedIn, the affected data center is Digital Realty's SIN11 facility.
The accident also caused service interruptions on e-commerce platforms such as Lazada and TikTok Shop. Sellers reported that they could not synchronize order information through the platform interface; TikTok Shop's influencers also revealed that the system failure made the small yellow car function unable to be used normally
