According to foreign media reports, TikTok is conducting a test in the US that allows some creators to add product links from third-party affiliate partners in their posts.
This test not only supports the social commerce application LTK, which has been announced to be integrated, but also supports shopping links from other affiliate partners, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Rakuten, Temu, Impact, CJ, Expedia, Clickbank and Flexlink.
According to the notification received by eligible creators, the new feature allows creators to embed shopping links directly at the top of the comment section of TikTok posts without relying on personal profile link tools such as Linktree.
This means that users can click on the link directly in the comment area to jump to the third-party platform to purchase recommended products, greatly reducing the steps for shoppers to find recommended products and improving the shopping experience.
A TikTok spokesperson confirmed that the new integration is part of a test for a limited number of creators, but has not yet become an official launch plan. TikTok is evaluating its effectiveness by collecting feedback from users and creators, but did not disclose more details, including whether it will charge commissions from sales of these links.
