Shopee Vietnam Strictly Controls Product Quality: High Negative Review Rate will Trigger Account Restrictions

Starting from July 29, 2024, Shopee Vietnam will impose account restrictions on stores with a negative review rate (NRR) of 30% or more and at least 5 1-2 star reviews in the past week.
During the restriction period, sellers can log in to their accounts to process existing orders and withdraw money, but they cannot continue to sell and the products will no longer be displayed to buyers. To help sellers adjust their strategies in time, Shopee will update relevant data every Thursday, which will cover transactions from Monday to Wednesday.
Once it is found that the negative review rate of a store is close to the violation level, Shopee will proactively warn the seller and remind him to take action to avoid account restrictions. In addition, sellers can reduce the negative review rate by strictly controlling the quality of goods, ensuring accurate descriptions, and avoiding the sale of counterfeit and shoddy products.
Sellers may receive negative reviews about product quality for the following reasons:
1. Poor product quality: perishable products, defective products, products that adversely affect consumer health/safety...
2. Incorrect description: The product does not match the description, including size, color, use...
3. Selling counterfeit/fake products: Shopee strictly prohibits posting counterfeit/fake products on the floor...
