TikTok Has 2.05 Billion Registered Users Worldwide

As of 2024, TikTok has 1.56 billion monthly active users worldwide, ranking fifth among the most popular social media platforms. 52% of the platform's users are male and 48% are female. Most users are between the ages of 18 and 34, accounting for 69.3% of the total users. Users spend 58 minutes and 24 seconds on the platform every day.
It is reported that TikTok has 2.05 billion registered users worldwide; in 2022, it will have 1.7 billion registered users; by 2023, its global users will reach 1.9 billion; by 2027, TikTok users are expected to reach 2.25 billion. To date, TikTok has been downloaded more than 4.92 billion times.
Although the United States has 148.92 million users and is the country with the largest number of TikTok users, its number of users has dropped from 150 million in 2023 to 148.92 million in 2024. Indonesia ranks second with 126.83 million users.
In terms of downloads, TikTok became the most downloaded application in the United States, with 47 million downloads; followed by Facebook and Instagram, with 35 million and 34 million downloads respectively.
In terms of penetration rate, the UAE has the highest TikTok penetration rate at 136.4%; Saudi Arabia and Malaysia follow closely, with penetration rates of 135% and 113.6% respectively; and the United States has a penetration rate of 55.3%.
